Hello,

I'll hope to find an answer here for my question.
I've also asked my question on a dutch forum, but maby you can also help me out.

I have a Walkera Master CP.
After 2 main motor's i decided to make de main motor brushless.
This is done with a kit bought on ebay.

3800kv outrunner brushless motor + hobbyking 20a bec.

My tail motor is just a stock version.
3 weeks ago a new one installed after a stupid crash.

Devo 10 Setup:

Throttle curve
N = 0 - 45 - 90
Idle 1= 90 - 90 - 90
Idle 2= 90 - 90 - 90

Why 90? because is fast enough with the 3800kv motor.

Gyro sensor: i've tried everything between 60 en 95 % in the manual mode.

The problem:
The heli always want to turn right on the rudder, so i've made a sub trim on the rudder L 15%
In normal mode it's oke.
In idle up the tail is waggling from left to right.
Pitch pumps in normal and idle up are terrible, tail can't keep up.
Used allready different gyro sensor settings.

The heli want's to turn right around, but when i'm going full up it's totally can't keep up.

Is there anyone who's also using only a main brushless motor and a stock tail motor?
And what are you're radio settings so i can compare with mine.

( excuse me for the bad spelling, but i'll do my best )

My second thought is that maby i've a bad tail motor.
I'ts not a new motor, but maby a bad production from the factory.

to come back on my question,

everything is fine now.
I'm using only a Brushless main motor and a new stock tail motor.
I had to give a sub trim on the tail 11% to the left, and the throttle at maximum 80% and now it's flying pretty nice.

also made my Super cp brushless too with the walkera BL kit, and it's flying great

Yes, I got a banggood 3800kv kit and still running stock tail...

The 3800kv is way to powerfull for the stock tail, I've been doing some tests and I found that about 65 flat throttle (54% pitch) is ok for some mild 3D with reasonable tail... I have 75 in idle2 but I think that that might be pushing it with the stock tail...

90 is way to mutch headspeed for the stock tail to hold... I tried 85 but the tail was crazy bad at that hs so I lowered to 65 and have a bit more pop than stock but still in the range of what the tail can take (still far from good)...

My tip is lower to 65-75 if you intend to keep the tail stock...

Our setup works perfectly with a Main Brushless Kit and a Direct Drive (DD) Brushless Tail Kit. the Bangood kit is not that great because the tail section does not WORK PROPERLY.

Below is a video of our kit. It works flawlessly and is all assembled to be ready to installed. Goto: www.rtf-heli.com for more information.

Default settings

I put my settings the way blue horizons suggested and now it wants to spin slowly so i adjusted the trim. If I hover its ok for a sec but when i fly around the tail has a mind of its own, drifting left and right. I played with gyro settings but that did nothing. I got $90 in this tail motor due to a bad motor during shipping so i really hope someone can help me with this. anything will help me thanks guys

Main motor: Turnigy 2627-3800
BL ESC HobbyKing 25A (Banggood kit)
Main signal converter (Banggood kit)

Tail motor: HobbyKing BL1230 5300kv Brushless Inrunner
Brushess tail ESC: XStar XP-12A with BLHeli soft 14.7 (for tail motor)
Tail signal converter: XTreme Brushed to Brushless Signal Converter

http://www.heli-team.pl/forum/viewto...=unread#unread

Transmitter: Devo 7e (Deviation), settings by TomZ
http://www.deviationtx.com/forum/mod...nd-quad-models

It is need change gyro level from 60 to 7 (in channel 7) :
Model Menu>Mixer>Ch7>Complex>Scale>7
I decrease gyro in receiver regulators: Ale/GS and Elev/GS - about 15 degrees, but I think it's not necessary.

Master CP flights great

\sorry for bad english\

Does anyone of any new attempts at a brushless conversion kit that works?
The last one I bought threw the entire tail rotor section off...

Sorry to report it got nowhere.....the kit I bought was over-sensitive on the gyro settings, MCP aircraft #1 self destructed on take off. I tried to make my own using MCP aircraft #2...problem is I can't manufacture a strong tail motor mounting. MCP aircraft #3 I'm leaving alone, and I fly it as reminder of how it is supposed to fly, warts and all. I bought a couple of their V450-03 models and like them very much.
