Hi,
I for one am using the Xtreme skids for MCPx (Item Id: MCPX007) and I am very pleased with them.
I've tried the Microheli skids but they are pure joke, expensive and more fragile than the stock ones.

Yeah the micro heli ones aren't great. I went back to stock but those other ones look cool.

You are welcome ;-)
Because the MCPx batteries are wider than the MSR's, this is what I've done to guide and fit the lipos: 2 small carbon rods from an old training kit (instead of the screws holding the boom support) + a small piece of black velcro to stop the battery.
CG is perfect and the added weight is indeed insignificant.

Hope it helps!

Got a set on my msr, with a Mia S300 canopy. I like the canopy, but the TG landing skids from them was a joke. These are much better. I'm keeping the msr light, so I'm staying with the smaller lipos, had to mount a tray on the gear for these. Keeping it light so hopefully it will handle my 808 keychain cam, which is now on my 120sr. Had to build up the mounting pegs with CA, for a snug fit into the stock frame. All in all, was worth the trouble for a more scale looking S300. Thanks Rick

Those extreme mCPX are so heavy compared to the stock. (I remember close to 3g) I hate giving up motor performance by adding more weight. The Heli loses it "pop" acceleration ability which one can feel.

If I want to fly a heli, with "pop" acceleration, I fly my mrsx. The msr is a more relax
flyer, I use it to show off, hehe.

My search light installed. thanks for the info. Took out to my garage (with no windows), and just left one small light on and flew it. Twas a blast. Hopefully wind will calm down for evenings/night flight. I kept popping the throttle, and did some nice piros with the search light. Blinding, to say the least. Need to clean up the wires, hanging a bit, and looking into the 2012 tiny brite lights for it. Except for the canopy, and xtreme fly bar, and landing gear, the rest is stock. Did hit hard on the landing gear, held up with no problems. Good Luck Rick

I picked up a set of Xtreme skids for MCPx (Item Id: MCPX007) and find that they only fit 1/2 way into the frame when they make contact with the servos. Looking again at your pic. I now see that you don't have yours fully inserted. Whats your trick.

I assume you're referring to Kosem's MSR. Looks like he has a MH aluminum frame upgrade, which has screws to hold the LG skids, and you can tighten them down not fully inserted into the main frame. I, however, just have the stock frame, and encountered the same problem of servo gears contacting the battery mount. I just took a Dremel and cleared away the battery tray, allowing the skids to fully inserts. Hope the photos helps. Thanks, Rick
Also, I used 120sr grommets body mount (o ring) , to hold the skids.
