Default Help with GY701 governor please ?

Hi, I'm trying to set up a GY701 governor on a Helix gasser. Spektrum radio and Ikon FBL.

I don't get three headspeeds in menu 2 of the basic settings (only 1) and don't understand how to activate / tie this to Normal, IU1 and IU2 in the radio.

Limits set and tested. All the other settings done - gear ratio, servo etc. Hover limit dropped to 18%. IU1 limit at 30%. Stick switch set to 25%. Sensor reading 86%. Working as gov and optimize.

What am I missing please ?

Ps. Governor disabled in FBL.

there are three speed set positions in the futaba governors, RPMset1, RPMset2 and RPMset3

on the 701 if you can connect via Sbus, you can control governor on/off and RPM by mapping an Rx channel to those functions in the Sbus menu

if not, you can still control RPM by wiring into the RPM port from a variable channel on from your Rx

you can change between the three speed settings by setting "switch positions" on the channel you are using for RPM control. 0 to about 35% will map to RPMSet1, 36 to about 65% will map to RPMset2 and above 66% will map to RPMset3 (depending on your radio and the exact end points these numbers may be slightly different)

Once you have a channel configured where you can switch between the 3 settings you can set each of them to the RPM you want

note, a setting of 1000 RPM is the equivalent of turning the governor function OFF so its not uncommon to tie this position to throttle hold

also note it is POSSIBLE to set this unit up so that the governor will only turn off when you turn it off so make sure you test all of your throttle positions and observe the on/off display before you actually start the engine to make sure its doing what you think its going to do

the actual RPM setting for each of the 3 positions can be varied if you tie a trim knob or slider to the channel thats controlling RPM as it is a proportional channel

if this doesn't make sense PM me directly.
