Default SD card "blank" or cover for DX6?

Hey gang,
Looking to see if anyone sells/ has found an acceptable blank (or cover to fit over an installed card) to keep dirt and crap out of the Tx?

Not sure why the opening is on the bottom to begin with......

I think its on the bottom because thats where it fit best with the G2 internal configuration.

Im careful not to get mine in the dirt or blow dirt on it.Dirt in the gimbals is about the worst.
They are wide open. If it bothers you that much you could stick a piece of tape over it.
Or put the entire radio in a plastic bag and fly like that.

I know.It does look funny. I think my buddy used the term garbage pail kid. I did it once when it was raining and we really wanted to fly but it was constant rain.It worked but it was pretty cumbersome to find switches. I was joking but it does work. I wouldnt do it again unless I really had to.

In reality unless water can get in just do your best to keep it out off the ground and dont prop blast yourself and get dirt in it.Thats been good enough for me.Reasonable care without going over board.I learned to flip it kind of face down for a sec if a dustdevil goes by.Dust isnt too bad but a grain of something like sand is probably the worst in the gimbals. They get in between the case and gimbal body and make it feel like the sticks want to lock up. If that happens turn it face down and work the sticks until it falls out.
When I first had my DX8 I put tape over the card slot I have some of that this covering repair tape in different colors. Black and you cant even see it. And the glue doesnt get all over and make a mess. With the slot on the bottom I think its really hard for anything to go Up and into it if you dont sit it on the ground in the dirt.

As i don't use a strap...thats my main concern. Even resting on the handle/antenna its pretty close to terra firma.

Just use a Micro to SD adapter without the micro card installed.
