Ten flights again this weekend, but the bird has developed a tail wag for some reason.

Just had my first backyard flight of the year. How easily I forget how AWESOME this bird is! I only did some slow piros and front and backflips (one battery flight tonight), but it's just so crisp. The balde noise is very intimidating in the backyard, so I need to head out to a field soon!

Love this heli (even with a flybar)!!

What tail rotor blades are you running?

I had a Outrage 550 plastic blade that i was using on a HK600 shuck and cause a crash, So I changed my O550 tailblades to 95mm CF to be safe. She flew fine with them, but they are covered in grass stains.

Magic Eraser will take those stains off for you... CF are the best for big birds IMO.

I got 8 in yesterday. It was a sim like day... blue sky and zero wind. I sure love flying her.

I just bought a used fusion 50 head to use as a spare on my O550.

It came with a main shaft. does anyone want to swap for a O550 main shaft?

Aren't they the same? I am pretty sure I use the same shaft on both my 50 and 550.

Hmmm. I am gonna put mine where you have your satellite.

I had my spartan gyro there when it was flybarred and it was fine for 100s of flights

That is just a smaller surface and it is directly connected to a servo that may cause small vibrations. I think the Beast is more sensitive to vibes than the Spartan is...

Been flying my 550 so much lately, I had a link pop off while doing some flips. Amazingly, the carnage was pretty much limited to the head. Here are some pics.

Yep they are tanks for sure. I'd suggest you switch to the Rocket City Quick UK links. They are the best and will never pop off.. at least I've never heard of one coming off. Most of the locals here have switched and are happy.
