mcpx v2 brushless tail
hi guys, im thinking of converting my mcpx v2 tail to brushless. the main motor i would like to keep stock but just want a bullet proof tail. what would be the easiest and best route to go? is there a complete brushless tail kit? I dont mind soldering.

I've never heard of anyone doing just the BL tail on a stock mCPX...
What kind of an issue are you having that makes you want to do the swap? |

This should be unnecessary.
Getting an extended boom with a brand new stock tail motor should solve your tail blowout issues. |

i agree about the new longer tail but i just want the motor to last longer than the brushed tail would.

I cannot remember ever having a brushed tail motor fail...it's usually a harness failure or a broken tail boom that takes it out

I wore out MCPX tail motors in about 3-4 weeks usually when I didn't crash them to wreck them. .
If the tails had been any good at all I might never have gone brushless. But even when new the stock mcpx tail motors couldn't hold. I like the idea of a brushless tail. Let us know how it works out.

Get a heat shrink tube to wrap around your tail boom to increase the diameter from 2 to 3 so this tail motor mount can fit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LYNX-LX0649-...item1e978559b5 You can skip the brushless main motor for now and use the things above to do a tail only conversion. Then as your skills progress, you can add the brushless main motor to make it more fun. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...X_FBL100_.html |
