Default Stutter on motor start up

Hello all
Ready to fly without training wheels now but...... Every time I start to spool up the motor stutters and shakes the heli. Not an issue when training gear installed but I'm worried that once training gear is removed the heli will tip at start up.
Is there a way to get a smooter start?

What ESC are you using? Is it the stock one? If so, not too much you can do, since that ESC is non-programmable.

Ok, the first thing I would do is tighten up your blades a little, and see if that helps. If the motor start is causing the blades to slew, it will unbalance the head, causing some vibrations that go away once the headspeed is high enough that centrifugal force pushes the blades back out. You can probably see the blades slew if this is happening.

If that doesn't work, then you may have to get another ESC, with a programmable soft start.

Newb speaking here, but I have experienced quite a bit of shaking during spool up as well. And mine was caused by the blades slewing in the grips during initial spool up as Gladius stated.

Tightening will most definitely help, but also, I noticed that so long as I don't just take my sweet time going through spool up speed that it gets through that phase rather quickly and smooths itself right out. Give er a lil more gas at first to get you through that phase and like mentioned above it should smooth right out.

If it doesn't then that's beyond my expertise!

All helis will shake some during spool-up, due to resonance. Like Jeremy said, you want to get thru that region quickly.
