Single Cell Govenor module. It basically gives the kosmik the ability to see every individual cell voltage and monitor them for any abnormalities in the battery.

Anyone got this running on windows 8.1?

Been fighting this again for days... had it running on my old pc but had to get a new one.

I'm so tired of this just to get some data.. why does this has to be so difficult?
We pay big amounts on our esc so why not provide a simple and clean program..
What a frustration this is.

Is there an explanation of what each field in the log means?

So I finally loaded log view suite and was able to import files however something is wrong. My rpm's are up around 130, 000. Followed the vids but the new suite is different, more user friendly for us dummies. Is there somewhere to load motor gearing parameters?

I know there is a field in the kosmik where you set gear ratio and pole count so it records rpm.

Log view is probably expecting the rpm signal to be true and not motor rpm since you set it in kosmik. Log view is very versatile though. I'm sure you can create a new field to calculate from motor rpm. I don't know how.

If you go into the .ini generator at Heliporn you can set the gear ratio and end up with motor and HS. Alternatively you can open the ini with Notepad or similar and edit the gear ratio in there.

Logview (v2) expects OpenFormat, 1..n channels (here one) and 1..n data fields per channel.
LV can process the data of each field individually.

It is required that a record contains exactly the number of fields which is defined to LV by the INI file (device description, record format).

It does not work to double a data field, one in, two out (view), the 2nd with a different data interpretation. That's why for example JLog with a Castle ESC sends temperatures twice to have the ability to interpret (process) a temperature as Celsius AND Fahrenheit without the need for a 2nd .ini (one for Celsius, another one for Fahrenheit).

Where in the notepad would I change gear ratio since I already have that but no ratio is visible, and I failed german

KOSMIK_master.ini

Quote:
## <--- modify here individually (hier individuelle Änderungen)
## RPM
Messgröße1=RPM
Einheit1=RPM
Symbol1=RPM
Faktor1=1.0
## above (oben): motor rpm 2-pole normalized (2-Pole-normalisiert)
## alternatively (alternativ): rpm motor: 2/pole-number (2/Polanzahl)
## --- example (Beispiel): /5 for a 10-pole (/5 für einen 10-Poler)
## Faktor1=0.2
## alternatively (alternativ): headspeed (Rotordrehzahl): /pole-number*gear ratio
## --- example: /5 /9.7 for a 10-pole in a TDR 1:9.7
## Faktor1=0.0206185567010309
OffsetWert1=0.0
OffsetSumme1=0.0
KOSMIK records (default) 2-pole-normalized.

Divide by half the pole number. --> real motor speed

On top multiply by the ratio: example: pinion==17, main gear==218. reduction is 17/218=0.0779816513761468 --> rotor speed

--- in our example -------------------
KOSMIK (2-pole) to rotor: KOSMIKrpm * 0.0779816513761468 / 5 = KOSMIKrpm * 0.0155963302752294 = rotor speed

But it is much easier to use Stephan's INI generator.
Just fill out the form, download your ini file and copy em to %appdata%\logview\geraete\openformat.
Now select your device in LogView.

Tom thanks agian you show your extreme knowledge and willing to help in this area but WAY beyond my expertise, are you planning a holiday to NYC in the coming weeks? You can stay at my house and I will let you drive my german car whilst here loading the data. Lol
Lets talk about building a high rise in NYC

crash, regarding your question:

I just filled the form according to my example, 10-pole, pinion=17T, gear=218T. The generator always assumes a 1-stage-gear, so pinion/maingear.

(If you visit me you can drive my American car, still have the Corvette C5 (since '99)).

Look if my last "less-scientific" reply fits your need.
