Question G210 Gyro Question...

OK fellow B450 pilots,

I noticed that after both packs today the red light on the gyro was blinking (about twice every second) even though there was no power loss at the end of those flights. Both packs were flown for 7:30 to leave the packs at 80 percent (3.8V). I did experience some wind shear that twice forced the heli on to the cement a little hard (while completely level on the skids) since there was about 10kts worth of wind gusts, but that was it. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi Trashy,

Just checked mine and if you hold the rudder (left stick) full deflection right or left the Gyro light does flash about twice a second as you describe. Check your tail set-up, something may need an adjustment if you hit hard a couple of times. On the cd that came with the heli look at the mechanical setup, I think at the start of that video it describes how to set the tail up.

Squid,

Mine flashes about twice a second (two quick, slightly longer pause, repeat, about one second cycle) if the gyro has any rudder input, including trim. Did you give it any trim while flying? If I connect a battery, let it initialize, then give it two clicks of rudder trim, it flashes.

The gyro is indicating course corrections that the pilot has commanded.

It will flash anytime the gyro is commanded outside of its neutral zone.

It is not a signal of a problem...

HOWEVER, if the receiver is flashing, you have A. lost power in flight. B. lost radio frequency in flight. Obviously both of these would be of huge concern.

Thankfully, I didn't lose power and maintained positive control of the heli at all times, even though it was windy (quite the challenge, by the way). I did use some trim, so that may have been the cause...something to watch, I guess. Thanks to all for the input.

My problem that im having is the tail is all over the place, just a little stick input and it swings violently into a spin, i have adjusted gain on my tx to +40 to get in HH mode, but it's not, something is not tweaked right, my gyro is in normal mode as is my tx, i just want it to hold the tail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What's that have to do with it? 7 1/2 min flight time is crazy if its a 2200mah lipo.

Default gyro question

I applied trim once and my gyro was also flashing, but trim should not be needed.I get 6.5 mins per flight and batteries come down at 3.85 each cell. so 7.5 would be possible.
