Default Easiest way to pop DFC arms off the swashplate

How do you pop the DFC arms off the DFC swashplate? My ball link plier doesn't quite fit it.

the best way to do it is with two sets of ball link pliers and just stik the fork in behind the ball and use a little lever action and pop em both off at once. or just unscrew the ball out and then use your pliers

Love my Aligns but I freaking HATE the DFC swash. Your best bet is to use the old style 4point swash. It's so much easier to work on the head.

Remove the blades, unbolt the head, lift the head off the shaft now raise the swash plate BAM!!!! The ball links pop off easy now no more fighting the geometry of DFC links this is the only way I found with out side loading the links and damage to parts. I hope this helps

I like the above idea of unscrewing the balls, I think I'll try that next time.

I use a screw driver that fits between the ball link and the swash (just on top of the ball). Just turn it clockwise with a bit of force and the link pops off.

I know this is an old thread but maybe somebody can find this useful...
A very easy way to pop them off on my 450L is to grab the link with the ball link pliers just above the ball and then insert a flat screwdriver between the swash and the plier. With just a little pressure the links come off easily.
