Got mine in the mail today excited as dog to start the build.. Updates will be posted
Kit align trex 500 pro dfc
Gyro i will be using Spektrum ar7200bx
Radio Spektrum dx6
Electronics stock align

I am newbie to this size build my last build was a trex 450 pro barred 2010...All your inputs are welcome!

This is a very fun size heli to build!! Very easy to see things.

Make sure you take all of the head and tail apart and get as much of the oils off the screws. Carefully loctite all metal to metal screws and lube all your thrust bearings.

Take your time and follow the manual closely and before you know it she will be flying! I didn't run into any problems at all during my build, all went together real nice. Other than the metal servo horns. Those are stubborn!

So far so good... Thanks been meticulously (ocd) buliding it..
Should i stick with my plan flying it with spektrum ar7200bx?

Best tip you can get is to take your time.

Don't be in a hurry to get it finished.

I have the exact same spec'd heli .... stock electronics, AR7200BX but I run with the KDE Main bearings & holders. Along with Edge Blades

Fantastic. Head build is so much easy compare to my first 450 pro built thanks to finless video that time... Right now the tail and re built is going good and i am sleepy and will continue again tomorrow. Will get the ar7200bx since i get to read good things about it, and coming from a friendly users.

I've heard good things about the Zippy's. Truth is, the only negatives I've ever heard about batteries are the Turnigy ones, and even with those, I've heard many more positive experiences than negative.

Yes I mounted my AR7200 on the top tray, taking care not to let it touch the sides.

I run Align 3300mah batteries and they just fit under the canopy.

I use Pulse 3000mah and GensAce 2650's in mine. You gonna get a sat receiver for the BeastX?

I am eyeing of the zippy 2650, and yup will be getting a sat for the ar7200bxas well..

Low head speed then pump it till i get use to this bird, and yup will be getting a sat for the ar7200bxas well i think its more on the safe side.

The pro's tail is designed for high headspeed. Just for reference. If not flying tail demanding moves the lower headspeed may work well

So far, i ordered ECO POWER 3300mAh 60s pack, really not sure how this lipo is,where do you get zippy's i was looking at hobbyking it says us warehouse but where is it really shipping out from? How long does it take to ship?

The u.s warehouse is in the u.s. they will not ship to canada from there though.

Okay i have a not so smart question here, i want to make all my links or servo horns set to 90degrees position what i was thinking is set a model on my transmitter then use my ar610 receiver just to get all servo set up before i start setting up my ar7200bx... Is it a good way or should just do it with my ar7200bx directly.

Also what is the length of the link that attached
To the blade grip?

Got the AR7200BX got my wiring configuration done, got the sat rx , bound to the tx. Now the set up of the gyro. Still reading booklet.
