A G231 is the only setup...The rest is collective manangment.
Most all Gassers weight 12 pounds, the rest is up to you and your setup.
There are no BAD Gassers sold today.

Hey guys well i always wanted a gasser to play with I mostly fly Ions and teh Epower we are getting these days is pretty incredible i think it would be fun to have a gasser to fly while waiting on battereis to charge

Bobby,

I had one for a while and they are a great heli. But compared to the Ion or the Fury they feel heavy and are not as nimble. I had to adjust my flying style with it especially the collective timing. I am tying to improve my 3D skills and the added complexity of a different heli just didn't work for me. The TRM 231 and the Hatori pipe really do put out great power.

well , I have about 2 more months till I get to fly my spectra, like to ask a few questions , what brand of oil? where to get it ? and whats the hottest setup without blowing the motor? he he , nothing like Ion power , but like Bobby said , great to fly while charging , if I can keep to bolts from falling out of the bird

If it's a brand new motor, the Lawn Boy oil is good for break in. If it's already broke in, I just use the same oil I mix in my glow fuel. 100% Synthetic. Make sure you DON'T use an open tail box on the Spectra. MA even states on the open tail boxes they are for nitro and electric only. If you're using the Hatori pipe just be prepared to check it after every flight, if it stays that long. Vibration seems to be the killer of these things.

This is how mine is setup. TRM321 engine, broken in on Lawn Boy oil, switched to AmSoil @ 64:1(2oz per gal). Using 700mm mains with Tempest 3d head w/new flybar carrier, 105 SAB tails with closed tailbox. Pitch +-10deg, Hatori muffler with SS header/adapter(does not come loose) Using CSM RevLock with Stator Gator. RPM 1750. Smooth and strong, feels like an Extreme not like a gas machine. Make sure you balance the fan and dial indicate it when installing it. Have been running engine with head to rear, am going to face it forward before this season.(able to use larger tank and see level better.

Are those SS headers still available? I know when they were being discussed before, there was going to be a run made of htem but I didn't hear anything else after that.

Check with Bill James or John Garst about the headers.
