Default Mini Titan Throttle and Pitch Curves

My MT is arriving later this week and I'm thinning about setup. Just wondering what people have for pitch and throttle curves.

Thanks in advance.

You've got two choices; either use the stock curves the Mini Titan comes with

Throttle 0,45,65,85,100
Pitch 40,57, 75,87,100

but will make it fly like a fixed pitch because you're speeding up/slowing down the motor with every pitch input.

Or you can go the governed route, and set a flat throttle curve and let the pitch curves do all the work. This is easier on all components.

Throttle 0,85,85,85,85
Pitch 17,46,65,85,100

I recommend fixed line throttle to run at say 2600 rpm and a 0 to 100 straight line pitch curve. For me it just keeps it all simple. You just have to learn from day 1 not to give too much negative pitch.

Without a governor how would I determine my rotor RPM?

See if you can borrow an rpm sensor from someone at a flying field maybe.

Or, if u have an iphone, the helitach app will do the trick.

Most escs come with a governor, and it sets the speed automatically depending on what flat throttle curve you have.

What esc are you getting?

Here's the curves I use, without governor:

Normal:
T: 0-70-80-90-100
P: 35-50-65-80-95

IdleUp:
T: 100-95-90-95-100
P: 0-25-50-75-100

I find that I tweak them often, but return to these as a reference when things get out of whack.
