I had a similar problem when the wire on mine got damaged near the connector, which happened over time due to the radio resting on the connector when I put it down. I got a new cable off eBay, only to discover that it did not transmit all the channels. My solution was to splice the old cable and the new connector. Of course I could also have bought a new connector, but since I already had that useless new cable...
Bottom line: Be careful when you buy a new cable - it simply may not work for you. |

I got the replacement off eBay, but as I said it didn't work. The first one was from helidirect, which at that time was linked to from the neXt website. I noticed there are no more links to cables.
Google "USB flight simulator cable", maybe you get lucky. What I found right now is this one: http://www.rcmoment.com//flight-simu...FVdYDQodvyEMvw However, there is no guarantee that it will work properly. It looks exactly like mine, but they all seem to look the same anyway. |

Here are two more that appear to be the same. (since they're out of stock in the US warehouse)

As I said, they all look the same, but some of them don't transmit all the necessary channels. So don't celebrate your victory too early...;-)

Fwiw there are reviews in that first link that report success with spectrum radios. Though it doesn't seem like a rock solid product and some mention the channels being reversed etc..
I'm hoping that's the case. @tek, let us know what you end up getting. That wireless option looks attractive, but more expensive than I want.. |
