Failsafe is the position of your transmitter sticks at time of binding, typically throttle all the way closed and cyclic neutral....

I am probably in over my head with this TREX 600 build, but I have somehow figured out every single piece of this heli except for this HV80. I having been trying to get the endpoints recognized for two days with no luck. I got the HV80 set up for Heli mode in the PC. Set radio to linear throttle/pitch with no trims, Dissabled thr cut. I then set the throttle endpoints to 30/30 and leave throttle stick at max. I turn on the receiver and see all servos responding correctly. Then I plug in the HV80 and get the 12 beeps as I expect. Then I start raising the endpoints in my radio and it goes to 140 without being recognized.

Thanks for the response. I was sure hoping that would be the fix, but it still does not work.

The pamphlet that came with the HV80 says the red wire does NOT have to be removed for the Ice2 HV. Almost every vid I have seen says to disconnect the red wire if using an separate BEC. Go figure.

After reconnecting the red wire, When I did the end point adjustment the HV80 finally collected a high endpoint of 119. I added 2, then started to lower the throttle stick. At this point the motor spun up??? Do I need to clear the initialization somehow and redo this step. It would appear I need to put the throttle servo back to not-reversed?

One other question while I am thinking of it. I am assuming I should be doing this initialization in DIR setup for the 3GX? Once the throttle is finally set with its endpoints for the HV80 I would then go into the 3GX to set the throttle calibration?

Ice2 does not have a bec .. only cut IF your hooking up esc with internal bec ..

Did you get your end points figured out ?

When you configure you end point . You take pinion off motor for safety

End points low and linear as you describe
Full throttle and plug battery in this put it in programing mode ..
Set hi end point till bleep ..
Lower and repeat bleep ..
After that when u lift the stick it will begin to spool up ..

Weird. I can only view the videos on phone/tablet but not from a physical computer and I've tried 3 different ones.

I think it's a problem with the youtube encoding. I had problems on both mobile and pc browsers. Here they are again:

Castle Quick Tip- Throttle Calibration.wmv (3 min 23 sec)

Castle Quick Tip Auto-Rotation Throttle Calibration.wmv (8 min 0 sec)
