Default Battery recommendations X5?
I got a 6s gaui x5 with no batteries. Plan on running ec5 but what batteries are you all running with stock canopy? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

4000mah glacier and a 4500 pulse, but mine is a formula so I can fit bigger lipos cause of the canopy

I'm using the Gens Ace 6S 4400 35C. Stock Formula Canopy. I do not have the battery fence upgrade.

I run gens ace 3800 25c and thor 3800 35c. They fit with lots of room.

I used to run a turnigy 4000 40c but it died, but it was a tight fit since the thing was nearly as big as most 4500 packs.

I have the stock canopy and could run up to a 4500 45C glacier and CG was still good. That's with a battery fence too.

It's a little addition that goes at the top of the battery area to prevent the battery contacting the motor as I understand.

Yep, it's a fence to keep the battery from bashing into the motor in the event of a crash.
