It would be nice to hear of the aftermath....
yeah that was me

a link did pop, i think it was because i sized one of it a little too much, or it was because one day i replaced one of the link with an old link i had and it was already had alot of wear and tear on it, not really sure which link it was though, because almost all the linkages were done by the time it hits the ground

i got it back in the air though, it's now sporting the Compass 2.5mm linkages

Finally got another vid up! You will see I had a freaky moment where the heli was on rails and didn't want to get off that track of doom... but it did just barely, lol. This was using the regular KBDD paddles (I'll put the TWEE paddles back on soon; I think they fly a tad better). I just enjoy this heli more and more with every flight!
(Oh, also running V-blades right now... I like the stock 615mm better.)

Very nice my friend. Just wait till you get a zoom lens.

Also, glad the 6HV didn't go in.

thanks. I need to remember not to go so far out with that camera, but I like to fly big too. Those packs were performing well on 10T!

It's not that easy to zoom in. You have to strike a happy medium so that you can follow when the heli shoots out of the frame.

Nice flying!

Quite true. On this particular camera, cheap Coolpix, any zooming only makes the pixels larger when filming.

I bought 6x Turnigy 2650 40C 6s packs. #1 died a smokey death in a wreck, #2 is fine and used in 500 heli, the vid used #3/4, which I can tell performs slightly better than #5/6. I've found this is generally true for Hobby King packs that you buy a few of, some are better than others. I am soon to receive two new NanoTech Turnigy 2650 35C to try out.

Please let us know how they do. I'm interested to see if the extra length of the packs causes any issues with the canopy.

Some photos of 6hv and 3d+. They were not finished when the photos were done, so if you look closely you will see some parts that we didnt have time to fit before we shot the pictures.

See it here beside my 600 Nitro. Words can not describe how well the 6hv flows in the air compared to the T-rex.

Thanks!

I am surprised they turned out so good, since the sun was high, and I was expecting kind of "hard" light on it and not so good contrast.

The camera is a Nikon D5000 with the standar kit lens. AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm.
The specific setting:
5,3/f
42mm
1/1600 sek

I believe the ISO setting were LOW 0.1 or something. Think that was the key in the bright sunlight.

I'm going to have to try the ISO thing, most of my pics come out over blown in bright sunlight.

WHat kind of camera? Does it have exposure bracketing? You can use this to get good results. It takes a few pics @ different exposures, to give you the best results. You can try getting these results by changing your ISO, but the camera "should" take similar pictures at different ISOs, assuming the camera's aperture can keep up.

An old Canon 10D, yes it has bracketing I just never used it though. I use to be really into photography but over the years not so much. But if I spent the time I might be able to similar results with this camera all I can do is try.
