Default HCP60, Can It Bind To Futaba FHSS?

Does anyone know if a HiSky HCP60 can be flown from a Futaba FHSS radio? Is the "HT8" needed?

Also, what is an HT8? I have found reviews and a YouTube video about it but nothing that says what it does? What protocol does it send?? DSMX? FHSS? Something else?

Yes, you have to use the HT8. The ins and outs I am not sure about, but I guess it converts the FHSS channel outputs into HiSky protocol ones. With me, the HT8 always worked fine with the Align T6.

I wound up ordering the HCP60 combo with the inexpensive H6 transmitter, just in case my Futaba controller won't bind.

In reviewing the video of the controller that comes in the combo, the setup screen on that controller indicates that it is a FHSS controller. So, I'm thinking I can bind with my existing Futaba FHSS also, without the HT8.

I'll post my results.

Strange. I looked up the specs in BG for both RTF and BNF, no mention is made of FHSS. And no mention of HT8, for that matter. You may be lucky 😉

Looks like one can also order the HCP60 with the new X-6S transmitter, which even indicates "FHSS" on the front of the controller.

Since I'm planning on using my Futaba 6K, I ordered the cheaper H6 transmitter.
