Default K 110

K 110

Where have you been all my life? Cheap, simple, reliable, enough power to improve on soooo many maneuvers. I have had this little heli for 4 day and have 64 flights and two crashes. Just incredible!

Most amazing machine of 2016 and maybe it'll hold that title for 2017.

I wonder if XK will ever bring out a 200-300er size heli?
I bet they would mix up the market pretty good if they brought out a bigger heli that flies like the k-series helicopters.

Is XK even a real company? I thought these were all made by WL Toys.

Anyway, here is the big brother:

http://www.banggood.com/WLtoys-V950-...p-1080417.html

It has its own issues though, biggest one is the servos do not do well in crashes.

I don't think it is it's own company. It's it's own brand though. Who knows.

I'm not sure that what they did with the K110 would translate well into larger models. Plastic parts and motor driven tail is what they're good at. I really think that with a larger model, you need a collective pitch tail.

Two things that I'd like to see however:
- Easily programmable ESC with Gov.
- Maybe more power without going bonkers. The trade off is with more power comes less crash resistance. Maybe same HS, but just with a 2S lipo. The K120 has 2S, but isn't as crash resistant, so it would be a trade off.

Those are both minor things, but would be nice for rev 2 if they come out with it.

FWIW, the V950 is a loose clone of the Walkera Super CP.

Default Endurance update

After 108 flights 9 crashes last one hitting a chain link fence. I had to replace bottom main shaft bearing, because it was lost when main gear came off. I know Im pretty fast with throttle hold but the respect for this little k 110 continues to grow. So does the fun meter reading !

I really wish some places in the US stocked parts for the XK like they do Horizon Hobby stuff. I order a bunch of spares and those just arrived after two weeks but I forgot to order main gears. And I just damaged mine this weekend.

I'm sure the 130s will still bend overpriced spindles and tailbooms in a crash quite often.

I too was very impressed with the stability and durability of these helis and I have the older V977. Bounced it off trees and the sidewalk countless times when it was 20 out and didn't break anything. Finally on crash 50 or so I did a high speed diving lawn dart into the frozen grass that broke the tail motor mount and sheared off the tm wires.

Also wish the lhs would stock parts for it, cheaper, more stable and more durable than the nano. No glitches/twitches or spasms after being bounced off everything you can imagine and buried in snow a dozen times. Fantastic for what it is and how much it cost.

Don't even mind the tx as the feel and factory settings work perfectly for me

They've have an official website that's navigable, so they must be a better Chinese rc heli company. http://www.xk-innovations.com

Pretend its a blade and costs 2x as much. Order two, one for when the first is down. I have 4 V977s, they cost as much as my one MCPX did.

Xk k110 is the only micro I have owned that wasn't a money pit and I've owed them all. I did that, ordered a second one for spares and have only used a feathering shaft and tailboom (multiple severe asphalt crashes) off the second bird and might of cost me $2-3. Not a better flying or cost effective bird out there period. Oh I did have one servo that was faster than the other 2 and BG took care of it. 2nd bird is flawless. Extremely happy with this micro!

You know I've almost done this twice.but I'll just wait for the gear. It still flies with the old one, just a little clickety is all

For the main gears I went with the 10 pack. I've still got plenty left.
