Default TRex 600N maintenance and upgrade

This is my first nitro heli which I bought used, so I have some questions:
1. Align RCE-B6T regulator, could it cause any problems and what should I use instead of it? Dont like connector from battery to this regulator, shall I change and to what, or better upgrade to other regulator? Now there is old Align 1900mah 2S Lipo, better upgrade to what?
2. There is some small fuel leakage from header tank, where silicone fuel line goes out of the tank, is it a common problem and what to do - try to change fastener or purchase another tank.
3. Heli is flybarred, is there a huge increase in performance going to FBL (I have FBL head, but have not decided on FBL system, maybe Spirit as I`m very satisfied with it on my electric TRex 500). Motor is Align 50 (is it the same as OS50SX..?) I`m running 30% nitro fuel w/18% synth oil.
4. Pipe is Curtis Youngblood MP5, is it better than stock Align ?
5. What maintenance, after flight and how much regular, any after run oil or could I use some WD40 spray into cylinder and turn it some turns with starter (without glow plug)?
6. I cant get GP750 to correctly set my rudder travel limits, tried several times and each time it goes full travel until servo screams. But in flight rudder is very responsive.
7. My TX is Spektrum DX8, is it ok to use it with JR DSM2 receiver R9 or better smth else DSMX. Asking because cant get working governor channel - gyro is on governor channel, how to change channels (in TX or simply try plugging into different AUX ports of RX).

1. If your model is flybarred, this is likely an older 2-in-1. These had issues with the switches failing. I would update to a newer 2-in-1 or change to a different glow igniter/voltage regulator setup.

2. You need to determine where the leakage is coming from to determine a course of action. Pressurize the empty header tank with some air (Blow into it with clean fuel tubing and plug outlet holes with your finger) and submerge underwater. You will see bubbles if its leaking.

3. Yes, tremendous benefit. Less drag from the rotor head will make the model feel more powerful. It will fly cleaner and more true.

4. The MP5 was a solid pipe in the day. The Hatori SAB-50 would be an upgrade.

5. No comment here, I do not use after run oil. I do recommend filling your tank with fuel to expel exhaust fumes, and then plugging the exhaust deflector with a plug to prevent moisture from entering. Close the carburetor arm fully when storing as well.

6. I have not used the GP750 in quite some time, but I recall Finless Bob has some setup videos that should address either the GP750 or one of its very close relatives in his T-Rex build videos.

7. Can't help you there.

If you are considering the Spirit, look on the forums for specific requirements for the magnets. They have improved the governor code too, so it might just work this time with IC engines. ..

Else consider the Ikon / Brain that has a very good IC governor

Thanks to all, now I have a problem that I can`t start the motor because starter shaft is slipping, what shaft is needed, with or without one way bearing?

Is the starter shaft slipping in the clutch, or is the starter hex cup spinning on the shaft itself?

Starter hex cup is slipping on the shaft. In manual it`s called starter coupling. So do I need to order this - http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/hn60...ft-p-1751.html
and change coupling or do I need to change starter shaft?

Yes, you will need to order that part.

I would change both parts. I would also recommend using a dremel to grind flat spots on the shaft for the set screws to bite on to. This will prevent it from slipping in the future.

I buy the stainless bearings, no need for ceramic. To the best of my knowledge the align 50 is identical to the os 50.

Here's a helpful tech tip I always refer to.

I think I have to check bearings etc. internals of the motor, how better remove it from heli?
Dont want to take muffler off..
And what battery to get for receiver, is LiFe better than LiPo, like this one from HK - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=32567
Now there`s an old Align 2S Lipo pack I dont trust

The first thing to do is pull the muffler off. Then rotate the engine by hand and looking in through the exhaust port at the cylinder, piston and ring. Pull the back plate off, inspect it, and the back of the case and rear bearing. After that you have to remove the engine to inspect any further.

I run a life pack currently, but now I've gone to high voltage servos and I'm going back to this lipo.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...iver_Pack.html

If you don't have servos rated for high voltage, stick with a life pack.

How to remove existing fuel line from the fuel tank and change it to MOAS clunk V2 purchased recently. I also removed old header tank because it was leaking, and do I need to install a new header tank (also ordered new one).
Or could I go on with only MOAS in main tank (without header tank)..?

I prefer running a header tank but it's not necessary, just remember you have less fuel capacity and adjust your timer accordingly. I currently don't have a header and just run a MOAS. You have to be careful when putting in a new clunk because the line will sell and get longer and can get stuck in the corners of the tank. You must soak the lone and then check to make sure it moves freely.

I had trouble getting the fuel nipple out of my tank and cracked it, but Lynx makes an aluminum replacement that I really like.
