v120d02s aggressive settings
FINALLY, I got the D02s back in the air, just did a quick hover in the guest bedroom after doing repairs. Its been about 3 weeks down, simply because I needed another tail boom and I was very busy. Before I get back to my 3D training regimen:
Since there are aggressive settings for the mini cp, anyone know of settings that would make my D02s a little more aggressive? If I increase the travel adjust or is there something where I can get faster flips and rolls? I have pretty aggressive pitch settings so I have it where I like, but it still takes awhile to flip over which is what leads to crashes. You have to over compensate with space to flip over. I need it to flip in a tight range of motion. Should I get a more powerful motor? Now if only I could get the v200 to actually fly. If anyone wants a second v200 for parts or to try getting it to fly, let me know. Even though I thought this would be my #1 heli, it has spent more time sitting then in the air and I don't like that. I wish I could get that one flying. I believe by next week my Trex will either be flying or I'm selling it. Doing so much with my car I can't keep something that is not getting any use. at least the v120d02s, v400 and Mini are flying now.

I would also love any advice on the optimal settings for the D02S. It seems like if I lessen the servo travel enough to where it doesn't bind, I no longer have enough pitch. Might be cuz I have a wk-2602 TX, but it's all I can afford right now.

+1 on that.
I have been flying the mini on the Manuel Campos settings for a few days now and when I switch back to the 02s it feels like time has just slowwwwwwwwed down. I'm gonna experiment with travel, expos, and head speed and see what I can come up with to make this thing just a little more vicious. PS: With the Mini, I am using the D/R switch with a much less aggressive settings to take off, get comfortable, get some altitude, and when I'm ready to start flipping; I switch to the Campos settings. I also have stunt 1 at 100-80-100 and stunt 2 at 100-100-100. I really like using the D/R switch and stunt 1 and stunt 2 as sometimes, when you're not quite upto full 120% wide-eyed concentration, its nice to just cruise around a bit with a much calmer heli. |

Have you guys tried turning up the dual rates to the max and then adding negative expo?
I'm in the opposite situation as in wanting to tame down all my Walkera helis so I've got the DR at about 80% apart from the rudder which I usually max out at 125% DR with some negative expo so it rotates quickly with very little stick input. |

I may try this next time. I'm a little tired and have another show tonight. Tomorrow is the last one, then symphony rehearsal that night and symphony concert Monday...should free things up for a little bit I guess. And the wind is finally becoming normal.
