Default Flight Stabilization System to Recommend

Hello guys,

Was wondering whether you could advise me on the best flight stabilization to get for my 450 Pro (with flybar). My primary usage is the bail-out function. Down in my local hobby shop they sell the Co Pilot II System Combo 2, Helicommand 3D and Helicommand Rigid.

Any input would be much appreciated.

From your hobby shop CPII or Helicommand 3D, both good systems but different in operation. CPII works on sky to ground temperature differentials and is more susceptible to climatic and environmental conditions and variations and HC3D is based on 3 axis gyro system. Flymentor is a cheaper version/copy of HC, both these systems are sensitive to vibrations. Some say HC is the best system out there, this is expressed in the price of course also that CPII has the best/fastest reactive bail out characteristics.

I've gone ahead and bought the CPII for my 450 SE. Set up was relatively easy and thus far from the initial settings, I am very happy with the buy. Thought not perfect, I think the bail out function works reasonably well to help me recover the heli from an otherwise catastrophic situation. I only have it on 1 mode which is for emergency recovery. I have relocated the on/off switch (gyro) to a more favourable position on my Tx and will give the CPII a more realistic test tomorrow. Afterwards, will migrate the system to my 450 Pro where I'll do most of my flying and learning.
