Default Naza M start sequence

Just finished building a 550 with the GPS. I have done about 3 flights on it with no issues, but checking everything over, I've noticed something odd on the initial start sequence.

According to the manual, there are supposed to be a series of r-g-y flashes, followed by 4 green flashes when the battery is first plugged in, and the manual says if there is any issue with the 4 green flashes to contact them, which I have done. They told me to contact my dealer, and he told me to contact the distributor, and I am waiting on a callback as I write this.

Maybe someone has an idea as to what is happening with my Naza. When I first plug in the power, the startup sequence goes normally until I get to the end where I am supposed to get the four green flashes. My Naza only gets 3 green flashes and then goes into the GPS acquire mode.

Anyone have any ideas or has seen this.

Thanks.

Talked with several people. DJI manual says contact them. I did and was told to contact dealer. I haven't gotten an answer, but your post makes me think the manual is wrong, as yours, mine, and my buddies all do the same and mine flies fine.

Don't bother calling DJI. They were no help at all, would not even answer my question.

I have seen that sequence just one time on mine and I was out of state. And I have flown it over 20 times.

I usually just get intermittent leds when I put it in atti mode.

But I have never had a problem with flying it, Man, Atti, GPS always works. Regardless of the leds.

Same issue with mine and the three LEDs. I get the usual initialization LEDs and then the final Green blinks, but only 3. I have just installed the GPS last night so I haven't had time to test that, but so far it flies just fine.

Has anyone found out anything different or is this a dead issue?

Thanks

All 3 of mine blink 4 times at end of sequence, I do not know what the difference is but that is what the manual says it must blink 4 times or contact them, I have emailed them for other problems and they respond within 24 hrs. with a solution. On one problem they emailed a authorization to replace the IMU.

Brent,

This is probably late, make sure you have motor rotation correct and the prop selection is correct.

Thanks ds1rc,

I narrowed down my problem to lousy soldering on my part.

All good now.
