Canopy fit trex 450 pro v2

Quick question on installing the canopy on a trex 450 pro v2.

I have been inserting the botton edge of the canopy in what looks like a clip . My grommets tore after about 20 flights. I looked at the instructions and they have ithe bottom sitting over the foam piece and not in the "clip" at all. I tried this and the sides hit the main gear it's an angle thing not a distance one).

Is there something I'm missing?

I added some pictures. I also noticed that my canopy holes are getting elongated something is not right.

The same with mine also touches the gear .. i even cut some of the canopy ..:banghead: just put it in the space.

you can use a heatgun to warm the canopy up and reform it to fit better and I use these http://www.hobby-wing.com/tl2682.html to help with the holes in the canopy

I think my stock canopy developed cracks before the heli was even maidened....fought and cursed at it awhile, tried the heat forming....it just seemed to always return to its original shape....bought a Fusuno and it fits great. Stock canopy sits and collects dust now.

I put the canopy like in your second pics, fits properly.you need to run the wire of the battery from the top not from the bottom and makes it perfect.

same thing for me on my new 450 pro dfc ! canopy does not fit

How does it fit without lipo?
Does it fit right then? Usually the lipo is the problem..

The V2 is known for a tight fitting canopy, don't go bigger then 2200 batts

Nope with or without the lipo if I put it on as describe I the manual. The sides hit the main gear
