[quote="bigrcr"]Head speed was 1820 RPM.

What blades is he using?

And do most people use a gov?

Thanks,

Don

For that flight the machine was using SAB 710's at 184 grams and MAH 110 tail blades. The machine now flies with MAH 710 double taper blades.

I use a governor on this machine, it helps keep the RPM in check when coming through center stick or in rapid descents. This motor likes to rev and is turning in the low to mid 13,000's. There is a lot of rotational mass in the motor and when coming out of pitch even a governor cannot handle all of it so there can be moments of a little over-speed. This will not harm the motor as it can see much higher RPM than that. A little addition of pitch or load will quickly remedy this.
