Default Anyone made batt harness so canopy stays on?

I keep looking at my battery harness and think that if I add about 4" to the lenght it would be possible to change out batteries without pulling the canopy. Has anyone done this and if so can you post a picture? Are there any concerns with resistance due to the extra wire?

Upon further research YGE states the following on their installation paperwork:"Here the motor wires are usually shortened to the minimum and soldered directly to the motor. On the other side, with all ESC types, the entire wire length, from the controller to the battery, may not exceed 20cm.". This distance will not make it out from under the canopy so it looks like the answer is no.

Not recommended due the resistant. Is more efficient when is short. Also is not recommended shorten too much the motor wires.

Regarding battery leads, It's less about resistance and more about voltage ripple, and this can be addressed using capacitors between pos and neg as appropriate.

The motor leads of the ESC can be shortened, but must be shortened so that each wire is exactly the same length,

Never shorten the leads of the motor itself,

Very good advice on the leads! Cheers.

taosgraveyard has right. Here you can see such capacitors:
