Question DX7 has issues connecting

Ever since I got my DX7, it's had issues connecting to some receivers. It connects to my MCPX, AR7200BX and AR7000 every time without fail, but connecting to my AR6100e, 6ch OrangRX or ultra micro Mustang sometimes requires several power cycles of TX and RX before it connects.

Once it does connect it's solid and works fine. I thought the issue might be RXs with fewer than 7 channels but the MCPX rules that out.

It's definitely the radio though, as other radios connect to those problematic RXs no problem.

Any ideas what might be causing this? It seems very specific. Would Spektrum or JR repair this? I got it second hand so have no receipts.

Fuzzy

It may be just a bank/model problem. I recall a problem with the DX7 and models in banks 10-20. Regardless, perhaps you can copy your mCPX model to an unused bank in 0-9, and then just rebind the old (working) mCPX bank to say your AR6100e. If that works (connection- the obviously, the channel assignments would be silly), you know a little more than you do now.

Mmm yeah after I posted I learnt of that problem and mine is one of those affected, but they're all in banks 0-9. The radio has a 'UPDATED OCTOBER 2010' sticker which I assume was addressing that problem anyway.

Thanks though.
