Thanks man. Well you know how I said I was switching from a 12T to a 13T pinion? Well I guess I didn't tighten the grub screw in the new pinion enough because it came loose in flight. I lost all power to the rotor about 100 feet up and since I thought it was a brownout I gave it full positive collective, hoping that I would regain signal and power to the rotor. Well of course that sapped all of the inertia from the blades within a few seconds and the heli plummeted to the ground. A sickening sight I tell you. Both main frame sides are trashed as well as the side supports, boom supports, landing gear, a main blade, and some other odds and ends. To top it all off, both of the capacitors on my Ice 100 got crushed. I just posted in the Castle support forum on RCG and asked where I can get replacements for those. Anyway I'm not at all happy that such a trivial mistake on my part is going to cost me at least $60 and hours of repair time.

Hey not too shabby. I dug that funnel early on in the flight. Looks like your inverted flight is coming along.

Are you setting the estimate close? You should spool up, and hover over the phone for a few seconds. Sometimes it does take 2-3 tries but it does work.

Yeah.. with any wind.. mine were all over too. I had someone hold the phone (screen to heli) around 10' away while I hovered eye level.

Capi, do you have photos as to how you set up the external power "switch" so you could power off with the canopy on?
