Question Electrical Smokey Business - Can't be right, lol
Hi, trying to setup my video gear, and when I connect my 11.1 V 2500mAH 3S1P LiPo to my 7inch Monitor, I get a picture (ie. power to the monitor) but within seconds, the wiring loom starts smoking, and due to my electrical inexperience, I've no idea why.

Can anyone shed any light on my dark corner?

A picture like that won't help us. Get out your multi-meter, verify every contact you think is supposed to be connected is connected, and also verify every contact pair that should not be connect is not connected. Flex the cabling around while testing, to see if something is pinching together or loose.

All the outer collars of the RCA jacks should connect to the black JST ground.

All the inner posts should not connect to the ground, nor to other-colored inner posts.
