Albatrose DV1 or S.E5a??
Hello to whom inquire of this thread. Your time and response is greastly appreciated I assure you as I have no one around me who flies any RC products. I have attempted to fly CP copters for a while and I'm not giving up but a while back I purchased the PZ Albatrose DV.1a foamie. The only flight time on it of ME personally flying comes thru a buddy box venture that was just a ton of fun . I'm greatfull to the dude that did that for me. I do have the Phoenix V4 sim ul;ator which I have used a ton a still do. I havent yet flown the Albatrose solo yet although my confidence is high. I obtained some PZ Ultra Micro planes after the Albatrose in order to get flight time in without the risk of costly repairs. I have the T-28, which I'm pretty good at. I can do flips, rolls take and landings and even a b it of inverted flight wioth no wrecks. I also have the P-51, Spitfire and the P-40 Warhawk. I can do good on the Mustang also. I did just smash the S!@! out of my Spitfire last night strickly due to the fact that I was a strait up idiot. Well, I just got the PZ S.E5a bi plane so I could have a nice pair of scale bi planes. When I was buddy boxing the Albatrose the training pilot experianced a bit of trouble and slightly crashed it. It still flies just fine and I was able to glue any damage which was only cosmetic bumps and bruises to the leading edge of the upper and lower wings. With all that said I feel the prudent choice of planes to learn on in my opinion would be the Albatrose DV1.a due to the fact that it's already sustained minor damage while the S.E.5a is untouched and still shiney new. I prefer the looks of the DV1a better as thats what prompted me to buy it but I do not know which bird is the better one to learn on. So my question is does anyone know, or have a preference to what plane would be better to have my first solo flight on? The Albatrose DV1.a or the Royal Aircraft Fasctory S.E.5a? Thank you for your time and advice. Safe and enjoyablr flying to all!
