In fact in those flights I ran ~2000-2050 rpm. It was good and I was happy with the power. I don't think I will go for a bigger pulley.

I would totally agree with the parts being the best I've seen as well. I would also have to say that you got the best looking kit quality wise !! My paint looks nothing like yours. Canopy is pretty good but my boom, skids and tail fin look pretty bad. The lines are totally off and none of them even have any clear on them . Kinda stinks but I know their isn't much I can do about it. The carbon pieces in your kit look awesome as well. Got alot of depth in the resin finish.

Thanks for sharing the pictures and you really should be a professional photographer !!!

I got my Goblin 700 last night. There was a bit of shipping damage to the package but it looks as if UPS was the culprit. While the damage did penetrate the cardboard box and a rip in the box also ripped into the Goblin box there was no damage to the parts inside. I was very pleased with the quality of the canopy, boom and skids after reading about a few people experiencing damage and quality issues. Mine are in great shape.

As for the quality for the metal and the rest of the parts, this thing is just ridiculous. The quality if far greater than any heli kit I have ever built. All the bags are numbered and the interior bags within are labeled with part numbers and everything correlates with the manual. It was a very pleasent build. Tonight I will begin to install the electronics and hopefully maiden it on Saturday.

Long, great build thread. Very helpful...thanks.

Great to hear that everything is in good shape, especially tailboom quality.

Ok new Goblin guy on the block here, can't wait to get this thing at home .
My question is, I have a 480Kv 12s motor (eventually ill be getting the quantum 500kv) would the pinion/tail pulley that comes in the kit (getting the orange & yellows kit) be up to giving me 1900-2100rpm + hold the tail or will I have get another set?

I'm a SAB newbie and have the same question, and a whole lot more.

Just ordered my green G700 from GrandRC last night, ......... now for the long wait.
I chose the QUANTUM OUTRUNNER BRUSHLESS HELI MOTOR(4530- 500KV ) - GOBLIN 700 EDITION

The kit ships with the 20t pinion and I'd like to know if that's good for my sport flying flying, and what HS should I start out with.
I included the CC HV 120 - should the built-in governor be able to run the advised HS with headroom using the 20t pinion ?
