Thumbs up Sweet!

Well, the Orange just came out with the DSM2 Tx module. That means all the T9X owner can fly BNF of spectrum/horizon plane/heli wthout getting a spectrum tx.

especially for those T9X already has a removable module. No mod what so ever is needed, just plug and play.
For er9x upgraded T9X, you will have one of the best programming functionality for horizon BNF plane/heli. Cheers!

Well, I know what I'm getting when my DX6i packs it in!

Amazing, a Spektrum-compatible, nine-channel transmitter for eighty bucks.

That's pretty cool, thanks for the info. I've been happy with my DX6i, but I'll confess I wouldn't mind a 2nd Idle Up switch position, maybe a spare channel, etc. The DX8 would be a great upgrade, but $300 for a TX feels like kind of a lot to me. I'd prefer to put the money towards a different heli, rather than a TX.

But ~$100 or so would be interesting, if I could use it with my DSM2/DSMX stuff.

How is the T9X radio itself? Gimbals quality, feel, reliability, etc? Crashing my mCP X due to a radio problem is one thing, crashing something bigger would be bad. I've been burned by crashes due to cheap electronics, like a bad ESC, I don't want any more issues like that.

You word-for-word spoke my mind exactly.

(This isn't the first time either)

The new 9XR coming out soon sounds like it is also going to be a very nice radio. They are taking their time releasing it though.
Also it looks like there is a Orange TX coming very soon and I think it's gonna be a big hit with those in the RC community who are color blind because it is the see through orange colour that their RX's are.
