Returning trim settings back to neutral
Hey Guys, I just purchased a 120 sr yesterday after tinkering around with coaxials for a while and seem to have my hands full trying to get used to flying a fixed pitch heli.
I think I may have screwed around with my trims to much and was wondering what I can do to return them to the neutral/original/factory settings. Thanks in advance for any replies. Peter |

If you are using the stock radio there is a longer beep when you reach the center.

Ok thanks guys. So basically I press each and every trim button until I hear that longer beep or just one of the two buttons per direction?
Thanks again Peter |

If you want all trim set to center you will have to check all of them. I don't understand what Dogsofdoom is saying about the 3 beeps, there are more than 3 settings for each trim button.

I'm using a dx5e so each trim has 3 beeps. 1 for max trim each side and center beep.
Assumed stock TX did that Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2 |

The trim on the stock radio has two buttons for each trim setting, one button will send the trim in one direction away from center, and the other button will send the trim in the opposite direction.
One way to find center you could click one button untill the tone stops changing, then click the other button till you find the long beep.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think everything is centered now. That being said, when I barely get the skids off the ground the heli yaws right HARD before I can even get the sticks on it. No damage thus far as I'm able to throttle down in time (and its only a couple inches in the air at this point) but I'm just confused as to why its doing that.

When the trim is centered you will hear a long beep. When you get to the end of each button your will hear a series of beeps,

It's is pretty stable once you get it a few feet off the ground but you will still need to control the heli alot more than a coaxial. Another thing is the 120 is pretty floaty if there is any wind.

Thanks again for the advice guys. It's been a week with the 120sr and I went from multiple trips to the LHS for parts on the first few days to running through a few packs without any crashes this weekend. Turned out my trims werent that far off, rather just like Liduno said I was trying to fly it like a coaxial w/o any cyclic on take off.
Thanks again guys, Peter |
