Boom supports arrived today. Which leads me to 2 questions;
What is the best method for cutting cf rod?
What is the optimum length to cut the cf rod to for a mcpx tail boom?
Thanks in advance guys!

I'm not sure if this thread https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=300326 will answer all your questions, but there's quite a bit of tail mod info in it.

Got my DX6i back and all seems good so far. Many thanks again for everyone's advice that led to a solution. This is the friendliest forum I've ever known!
While I was waiting for tx to be fixed I upgraded the swash to an RKH as advised to an another thread, and also my tail boom is now a little longer and solid. I've had to use a little CA to keep the boom from twisting, but it's great now.
So, next question;
After spooling up and before getting light on the skids, it lurches over hard to the left and a little forward. It's easily correctable, but is it normal?

Get her up into the air as fast as you can. The gyros don't like sitting on the ground for long as they get confused.

I also say thanks for the tip regarding the main gear. My mCP-X would not take off either. When reaching setting for takeoff, it would make a "wobbling" sound and stay on ground, no matter pitch. Then checked main rod, and noticed it could wander 2-3mm vertically. Gear was flush with the rod. Put the heli upside down, and used pliers to press the main gear up. Now she flies normally again.

Default New mcpx won't take off, much.

Yep. U figured it out. The main gear routinely slides down on the shaft which affects the pitch. Every crash you should check this. I use my thumbs in the main gear and index and middle fingers on the blade grips and push until it stops. It usually "pops". Every crash mine goes down.
