I love my new DX8! Such a giant leap forward compared to my DX7. All the serious bugs are now fixed. Make sure you get a PID version that's not in the recall.

The DX8 is just like all new radios and technolgy, Remember your first computer Mine has been controlling my trex 500 esp without a glitch There`s more dumb thumbs out there than bad DX8`s.

Sight unseen, you won't know until you get It in your hands. Since they were out of stock for several weeks it's most likely you will get one of the newer batches that is not effected by the recall.

The following clipped from HH website specifies what to look for:
"Horizon requests that all DX8 customers with the Product ID (PID) HS008X or HS009X found in the battery compartment carefully check their radios to determine if their transmitter has this issue prior to flying."
