So I would like to know on his if the stiffener was on and didn't do it's job.
The weakest part of the frame is at the place where the frame stiffener goes.

Why else would they make that stiffener?

For the 2 tip overs and one nose in crash , the frames cracked right there.

I had to pull the sides off to see the cracks, but it was clear as day. I wouldn't fly with cracked frames period.

Since then I epoxied the stiffeners to the frame, this made the frame sides way more rigid and they survived the last crash, which was my 4th and worst of all.

To OP: Good luck on your rebuild, I don't mean push the fact that it doesn't sound like a rx problem, just don't want to see a repeat and I'm sure u don't.

i think the stiffener is actually to keep the battery fence from cracking the frame of you bash the battery fence...

That really doesn't make sense to me, why would it go all the way back?

Really its not that big of a deal , or I would have sold the x5 already. I fixed the problem.

I rather see the problems get posted, rather than covered up, or taken in a negative light.

The battery fence was a solution to a problem,

Hmmm, it does go back all the way but apparently the frames still crack.
Maybe I'll grab the epoxy before it happens.
