Default Getting ready for the flying season.

Hiya!

Yesterday right after work i took my hurricane 550 (plasticframe) outside and gave it a go with some racing back and forth. I have used some time to set up the rotorhead up again since i was not contend with my first setup. I got the Gaui CNC head and i think its quite nice.
I have used some acid free thin oil on the tailshaft and Swashplate and on the mainshaft. Not much only a tiny drop and i made sure the excessive oli was removed - just enough to keep the bird from being hit by rust on its ol' days.
My old flight packs was 2 x 3S 2200 and now my Trex 450S gets the benefit of them. I switched them out for 2 Zippy 40C 3000 mah packs and holy crap what difference it made. A lot more pop and the heli has a way better sound.

Then i called my dad to see if he was home. Hes on retirement and not so good with computers so he needed me to help out installing RealFlight 6 he just received. I charged up my heli packs and took off. He also lives in a small town on the country side and just up the road theres plenty of room to fly.

Im not so good yet that i can do 3D stuff, but i have done rolls and loops with my Trex450S. So i spooled my 550 up from the asphalt and got airborne and after some fast forward flight i did my very first loop with my hurricane 550. Man what a pleasure to fly and much much easier to loop than my 450. So i really had a blast and now i got my three birds (450, 550 and 600) setup properly ready for the flying season.

I would also like to thank you all in here for the help you have given me over time. Helifreak is fantastic and a pure goldmine of knowledge for both beginners like me and advanced freaks. I just had to let some steam out because im still a little high after the flying yesterday

regards and god shave the queen !
