Question GCP dead in the air

Hi...

This has happened four times so far. During the flight, at around 1 minute, the system of the GCP was suddenly dead. The helicopter fell to the ground, the green led still on and the helicopter can be flown again. By the next lipo happened again.

Now the GCP can fly only few seconds.

A few things to check...
If you put a fully charged (known good) battery in and spin it up a bit then cut the throttle it should coast to a smooth slow stop with the stock main motor. If it doesn't something may be binding (gear mesh) in the area of the main shat. If nothing is getting warm at the end of the short flights, then I would check the tiny part of the wires that go from the rcx to the main motor. If you have had it a while and didn't put a dab of hot glue or something on those wires were they come out of the main motor, then some of the strands may be broken (under the insulation).

If this doesn't help then let me know more of the background of how it came to this point.

I've had something similar happen. What happened is during the normal vibrations of flight, my Walkera battery connector would lose contact very suddenly and for a fraction of a second; just enough to reset the system and cause a sudden power loss.

It's something to check anyway. A surprising number of people have problems with the stock connectors.

Lots of people have had problems with the battery wire pulling off of the cuirct board because of the way it bends coming off the board. I redid mine soldering it in from the bottom. Also guys have been cutting off the Walkera connectors and putting Micro Deans on.

How to know that motor is deffect? Motor vibrates, hot and rotates slowly after reaching a certain rpm, after approximately 1/4 throttle.
The GCP is new and only few minute flying.
Motor cabel is not defect, connectors also.

Onlyway I know is to buy a new motor. I've been though 3 motors in 3 months. Wow has them without the pinion for about $8. If it doesn't work out its always good to have a spare.

Is brushed motor already exploited within one month?
Think to upgrade with brushless motor.
Which one brushless motor is the best for gcp, plug and play and have no problem?

Yep...motors only last about 60-100 flights. It helps if you cut the throttle instanly. if the rotors are trying to turn but can't the motor burns very quickly. Also good to let it cool between batteries, especiall if you are indoors where it is warmer.
Going brushless is $60 from Wow or you can do your homework and maybe get there for $45. Don't buy the brushless upgrade from Walkera. It looks to be nothing but wrong. You will also have to buy better batteries for the brushless like the Hyperion 240 at least. Lots of threads about going brushless here and at RCGroups.

I have mcpx motor and will try to replace a damaged gcp-motor. solution for a broken skid could use for a while a paper clip.

Get the Hyperions anyway. They only weight about 1/2 gram more but they generally give slightly longer flight times as well as can survive MANY times the charge cycles of the stock battery.
