What are you actually using? 11 or 13T? Use a a 12T anyway

I have a heli with the same motor and am running a 13th pinion with no problems. you won't hurt the motor doing this.
If you are just learning, you might want to run a 12th, it will give you enough head speed to move around.
If you are doing flips and rolls, then you for sure want the 13th.

the 13t would give you a higher headspeed.

your lipo might not be up to the challenge or the motor is old and tired

Unless I am mistaken there was two 430X motors - one had 3550kV (like the old 430L), and the other was 4050kV, so the 11 tooth suggestion might be referring to the 4050kV motor.

FYI: Prior to the the 430XL quite a few ALIGN Motors had the designation 430X and the only way to differentiate between them was by their Kv rating and Part Number. According to Mr. Finless I do believe. Regardless of the history I found around 8 motors all ALIGN all 430X's but all with different Kv ratings.. The highest I found was the 4050kv and lowest was a around 2000Kv, if memory serves. Generally the most common is the 3550kv and is most likely the one people are referring to when they mention they have a 430X.
