Thats a beautiful wind O....... What made you run the wye wind at low timing? I think youd have more output at med timing on a wye wind.

The low timing I have set on the ESC for the last motor i tested - i wanted to make sure it wasn't getting hot before i put the high timing i usually use - and i forgot about it...

After testing today i went ahead changing to 24 PWM and HIGH only to discover it was LOW before.

Omerco, are you winding these motors two post at a time, outside jump, AabBCcaABbcC?

The last 2 - 600mx and pyro - are winded according to the "blue scheme":
https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...27&postcount=5

My wind is the same only Aa instead of the shown aA.

You wind all pair of teeth the same way - first clockwise and the second counter clock (Aa)
Second pair is wound the same (Bb) - but when you terminate you connect End group 1 with start group 2 for the star - which reverses the current flow in the second pair and changes it to (bB).

Yes for the outside jump.

I did a test on this motor with the red scheme (starting in the center of the wire and going out) and i wasn't sure about the results. i will test again in the future.

Are you saying you wind 2 teeth at a time all the way around the motor RL, RL, RL RL, RL, RL, instead of the normal DLRK wind: RL, RL RL, LR, LR, LR?

Kv: 450 rpm/V (Castle, timing low)
Termination: Delta
Wire: 13 turns, Single strand 0.95mm
Copper surface: 9.21mm^2
R= 35 mOhm

After:
Motor 1: 437.3 rpm/V
Motor 2: 438 rpm/V
Together: 439 rpm/V (castle, Timing low)

Io: 2.45 @45.9V (not sure that is correct? - I measured the current going from the batteries to the ESC as castle don't have enough resolution. castle showed little less then 2A...)
R: 22mOhm
Termination: YY
Mono wire: 7+8 turns with 1.18mm
Copper surface: 16.4mm^2 (+78%)
Very nicely done. I think for only the 3rd motor you did very well. Also nice you could get the two wires adjacent to each other in the slot bottom, that saves a lot of space. Of course outside jump is needed to do that.
Did you do additional preparation of the stator (filing)? The bumps/thickness of he coating can be really bad, especially halfway in the stator...

Thanks Bert.
Yes i did follow the advice I have seen both by Ralph and your posts and i adjusted the coating especially at the bottom of the slot making room for the 2 wires.

I dont think what you wrote is a standard dLRK? Standard is RL LR RL LR....
What i, and many others here, do is wind RL RL... but then reverse the second termination = use start1 + end 2 and atart 3 as phases and connect end1 start2 end3 for the star. Reversing the second pair changes it from Bb to bB and then it works like normal dLRK
