It did, Its not long enough to reach the motor mount though which is why I never did it. I never got around to making a longer one, just lazy I guess.
Ill be doing it now though of course. Well, Ill be going to the boom mount anyways.

Dan, when you do it, put the screw (if you do it that way) on the underside of the boom. If not, you'll have to take off the gyro trays when you need to do boom maintenance. On the underside, all you need to do is remove the screw. You're very handy, so you could probably make a clip of sorts so contact with the boom could come from sandwiching the clip between the boom and the front boom clamp. That way, with your lower tray, it makes maintenance and replacement easier.

I had posted in the VBar forum about the tail but never got a response.

Im still having an issue with the tail that I really dont think is a static issue. I tried backward inverted today and the tail just whipped around on me.

Removing the RX Island is just 4 screws so it will be pretty easy to remove. Ill screw it to the underside of the boom above the RX island.

My first batch kit didn't have a ground wire, but I didn't hesitate to install one. My prior belt helis both had them too. I simply picked up some auto wire at Radio Shack, and soldered an eyelet at each end. I chose to use a star washer under the eyelet so it would dig in. I then use a drop of red Loctite to keep it in place. I would think the symptom would be erratic twitches, not a total blow-out. I can't help wondering if something mechanical is to blame. Wonder about the tail servo response. Have you tried a different tail servo? I hvae a dependable JR8900G that you could try if you haven't eliminated the servo as cause. Just thinkin' out loud.

Has the OP resolved this issue? There is nothing worse than a tail that won't hold. It makes the heli unflyable in my opinion.

Its ok with pitch pumps but doesnt hold on backward flight. Im going to play with the tail gain and ball placement next time around.

So i recieved my parts today from Nankin, put them on, moved my ball spacing out, plugged the VBar in to center the servo, and guess what...... No yaw response from the VBar. Nothing, notta, zip!!!

I can move the tail with the sticks but the gyro it seems has stopped working. Awesome, let me tell you.

I plugged the unit into the computer and the live display doesnt show anything when I move the tail.

Im guessing that it went out on me in flight and is what caused the issue I had last time if not all of the issues Ive been having. If this thing was bad from the gitgo and kept cutting out that would explain the unexplained piro that put this thing in the first time.

also had that once on a vbar, was a bad solder joint in the board on the tail connector, at least it seems you've found your problem after all

God love good customer service.
I sent ReadyHeli a msg last night telling them about this and had this email waiting for me when I got home,

Hi,
If you give me the Serialnumber of the unit I will create an RMA for you and have it fixed for you.

Serial number can be found in lower right corner when unit is connected and powered.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regards
Fredrik

The express software does not do bank switching.

I know I was treated to some selfless generosity when I got started. Sadly my friend and mentor has mostly stopped flying. He helped me immensely right when I needed it most. He's a brilliant pilot, great with mechanical setup and electronics equally well and was a lot of fun to fly with. When my Blade 400 tail as-stock didn't hold well, he took it home and replaced the tail servo and gyro with a Futaba and Spartan. Then brought it back and said it seemed a lot better! WOW! We all want to do whatever we can to help each other, as most of us had someone who also helped us. I think most of us like that more than anything.

Just a quick update.
Ready Heli is sending my VBar back with a new sensor so Ill be back in the air this weekend.

I can only assume that they tested my sensor and found it to be defective so theyre sending me a new one. I tell you this, if there is a bad one out there I will find it. Its just my luck.

Thats what I call great customer service right there!!!

That's great news!! I'm running express for now and my tail is locked in solid, no blowouts with CY110's and 2150 HS.
