hi all has anyone moded their vertical stabiliser to make it longer to stop the tail blades from touching the ground on aheavy landing

Replace the 600 fin with one off a 700. The holes line up perfectly, it gives you that extra clearance, and it's still short enough that it sits flat on the skids. So glad I did this to mine, can't recommend it enough!

I put 2 small bearings under my rear struts raising it up anout 3/4 to an inch off the ground. I like the 700 tail fin idea also. I did that on my 450 w a 500 tail fin and that worked out well.
