It is the most impressive wall I have ever seen regardless of which of EdvardR's helis populate it.
Due to unforeseen circumstances I never got to see it stuffed full to the brim with TDR's. The big question is, do you have a favourite??? Mick

Sssh - not in front of the children...
I have to say right now the center one is on top of the list although it is an unlikely candidate. Sporting an Align 700MX 510 motor and blue V-bar with Hitec servos, it flies beautifully. But truth be told, they all fly very much the same, except the top one which is set up for speed flying and is made to be heavy (but fast) |

Which motor, HS and max pitch are you running on the "top one"? Be interesting to know what's the max speed you have achieved with it.

They key is to make it drop like a stone from the stratosphere at zero pitch and then gradually give it all it can take - and then make sure you don't bonk it straight into the ground... Like #2, it also runs on an Align 700MX motor, this time on the 530KV version with a 14T pinion. For the speed runs, it gets 100% on a Jive 120HV. Haven't actually tach'ed it, as it won't spin any quicker anyway... Pitch is +15/-10 degrees, with 60 in agility on a V-bar V5. No "profile" selected. Batteries are 4600 or 5000 mAh - heavy is good. |

He he someone has a few toys don't they?
Edvard is right, let it fall for a bit then feed in pitch. I would think around 2100-2200RPM you would be running. How do you select NO profile in vbar and what does that do? |

Good question. I actually haven't figured out what specifically triggers the "no profile" setting, but I do feel that it flies better with no profile selected...
You can run my program and it will de-select all profiles (you will want to adjust the agility slider as the saved file is bank0 i.e normal): http://www.helifleet.com/vbar/edit/jI2ygwY |

In beta we had a slider so we could put the profile "inbetween" Vivid-Medium-Precise
If you load such file it would show as no profile selected. So even if no profile is selected, you are somewhere on that scale. For sample if Vidid = +100, Medium = 0 and Precise = -100 setting +50 would render this, so would -50... I have asked for getting that slider back as a expert setting, we'll see if that happens. |

That wouldn't be a bad idea.
To tell you the truth i could not find much difference between precise and medium. I do think that the explanation etc could be done better. |

Dear TDR freaks,
I think i should add two of my summer pictures. I think they are nice, even if the canopy is stock. I did ask the photographer (owner of another TDR) if he want me to cut some grass, but he said this is low enough.

Yep, there was not much grass to cut.
(it is private airfield of my friend, the photographer, very well maintained) I am thinking about ordering some Insane canopy, but also think this color combination is nice and "classic" so i will probably stick to it. That friend of mine was a bit more creative and the result is included in my post.

Ouch, you just do not understand it!
That heli just want to fly forward even if there is no power!

Some "what is inside" photos.
Jive is locked by zip tie, because the adhesive tape under it got unglued in summer, resulting in ESC separation from the chassis during flight... Vbar is on Align PU gel, locked by small CF strip from above, again with PU gel under it. After this change (originally mounted on Futaba GY401 tape), the vibrations did not changed much, but i did have a better feeling in control, bit more precise and locked-in feel. You can see BT module, it is (probably) not permanent mount, but i am trying to understand vibrations in flight and do some tail adjustments. Then there is something strange sitting on the wall... and old photo of T500 i found in the camera, that is what you end with after 2 years of tuning, when you start the hobby with stock T500 (lowered head, Gyrobot 900, ICE100A, Hacker motor, BLS251), sold about 6 months ago.
