Default Hooking Arduino into receiver

Im trying to bypass the receiver on the Heli so that the commands come from the Arduino board. I have ArduCopter running on it and am looking at making the mQX able to fly from my computer. The only piece im missing is how to put my flight computer(An arduino board) so it can send the PWM signals its expecting.

You could pick up the FET gates and put each motor signal onto those. I'd also disable anything onboard, or cut traces from the micro to the FET's.
I don't think you'll gain much if anything by running arducopter on something this size. Lots more weight you don't need, and I'm pretty sure you will get less performance out of the Q in general. Interesting from a "can it be done" standpoint, but why not just pull the whole board?

The motors are small enough that you might be able to power them directly from the arduino depending on which one you have.

No, they aren't. No arduino is passing 1A+ through it's logic pins.
