Default T-rex 250 is it worth it?

I have been looking at T-rex 250 past few days, Is it worth buying a 250 now as the 250SE has been out for a while. Or will you as 250 flyers suggest otherwise. What about clones?

My advice would be not to buy a 250 v1, if your buying Align, get the 250SE, lots of parts have been improved for extra strength, so upgrading a v1 will cost way more than the difference in price to the SE - the landing skids, tail set, SP motor alone would cost more than the price difference, and you also get stronger swash, grips, new design main gear, and better servo mountings.

If you are going super-cheap, then a clone is worth looking at, but only if you either have all the electronics lying around, or buy super cheap stuff, otherwise you will end up spending as much as the 250SE super combo and end up with a clone heli, and will want to upgrade bits anyway.

I can get a T-rex 250 combo (kit, motor, esc, no servos) for about 140USD delivered. I've got Ino-lab 9g servos and logictech 2100 Gyro lying around. Is that a good price? what all should I be looking to change overtime? Or will I be happier just buying a clone, if then which one?
