Default Flew with V1 AND V2 on same bird (at the same time)

Got my V1 board i ordered to make a double brushless. Had my hp05 V2 flying but wanted to see if it would fly better with the V1 board. Couldn't get my xp7a + converter working on the V1 board :/. I wasn't working on the v2 board earlier which was the reason i was using a walkera 10a which didn't need converting on the V2 board. I thought the converter wasn't working because it wasn't compatible with the V2 board...Turns out it's just not working period :/.

To try the V1 board i had to use the walkera esc AND the V2 board. The V2 board was only there for the throttle channel...because the walkera esc can't read the pwm on the V1 board. The V1 was doing the servos and tail. Flew really good (4.4 grams overweight though because i was carrying two boards). Too bad one link popped off the head in flight. Crashed pretty good but no harm done. Popped another link on there to experiment further but then the head came off because the screw in the hub came loose!!! from the first crash so i crashed again. Kinda sad :/ Flew great when it did though. Looking forward to flying the V1 board some more and i seriously need a frickin' toolstick for flashing!!!

Another frustrating story. When i opened the door for the mailman last Friday when he brought me the V1 board i actually met him but he said that i opened the door too late!!!!!!!!!! That the 'owner did not open the door'-sticker was already on the package and that he had to take it back again saying i should have opened the door faster !!!! He was actually waving the envelope around in front of my face but would not allow me to have it. Really annoying!

I just had to run out and catch my mail lady. If she doesn't feel like walking up to the house she'll leave an orange "Sorry we missed you" sticker but at least if I meet her at the mail box she'll give me my stuff.

I finally got mine trained to leave it on the front porch if it's too big for the mail box. I am out in the country though and don't have to worry aboout thieves much.

If a mail carrier did that at my house I would make sure he was unemployed.

damn...you guys feel strongly about this ...I was half sleeping at the time. I do remember thinking he should get the Darwin survival of the fittest award by accidentally dropping some electronics in the bathtub when he himself was bathing. Clean that genome!

It can get quite annoying when one of my postal carriers will leave the package and the other will only leave it half the time..and think this is funny??

I've had them not even knock but leave the notice, they fill it out in the truck before they even get out.

I just had a thought, how did you bind both boards at the same time? The v1 and the v2 have different binding procedures.

Just bind them separately...Before i found out about blheli and all the fancy stuff that was going on here i had the plan to use a 0,5 gram ultra micro RX in my mcpx to be able to hook up a seperate gyro for the tail. That's when i went looking to find out if two spektrum rx's could be used at the same time. They can...problem.

What radio are you using?

With my old dx4e I could bind multiple helis to the radio and operate them at the same time but with my dsmx dx6i It has a recognition system that wont allow that.

Do you have a dsmx system or a dsm2 system?

dsm2...but doesn't an mcpx RX make the DSM capable systems default to dsm2?
I have a Multiplex evo btw with a dsm2 module i hacked into it.

I had a few different mcpx's and with my dsmx system they all needed their own spot on my radio unless I wanted to bind each time I changed helis.

They were a mix of v1, v2 1.3, v2 1.5 boards

Now with my 120sr I can fly as many of those on one program as I want.
