Mobius with stock frame
Anyone attaching the Mobius to the stock frame? How are you doing it? I tried attaching a Mobius mount that I got from Banggood to the 2 studs on the bottom. Worked great till my first crash

Hey I attach my Mobius camera on a 2 sided velcro foam pad on the quad. and a rubber band around the quad. frame to hold the camera. also I place velcro strips in between the metal cooling plates on top of the camera to add extra bond between the 2 sided velcro foam. That and the Broccoli rubber band ,all is holding real well.
Good luck to you. |

You guys might want to give 3M Dual Lock a try. No need for extra rubber bands or straps.

Never heard of it. Is the adhesive stronger than on the typical velcro product? How about the hook and loop side - stronger? How well does it attach to plastic? I see Lowes carries it - may give it a shot.

I usually got it from Walmart and I think Kmart carries it too.

if it doesnt need to come off often, use shoe goo. Its a great adhesive that is not permanent. Itll stay bonded til you remove it, then you just "roll" the residual off. I use it for about a million things RC related

A little low temp hot glue will do the job.

A little hard to explain without pics, but here goes;
I used 2 rubber bands and 2 short ( 1/2 inch ) length of rubber tubing ( exercise resistance tubing, I use it instead of o-rings to hold the props on my planes as well ). I wrap the rubber band around the frame, just in the "armpit" of the front arms. Slip a piece of wire with a hook at the end thru the piece of rubber tubing and grab & pull the rubber band thru. Put this loop around the front part of the Mobil's case. Do the same thing on the back. Try to keep the bands on the frame farther apart front to back than on the camera body, this will sort of triangulate the camera for support. With the right size rubber bands it works really well. The bands & the tubing provide a decent amount of vibration isolation. |

If anybody has a broken frame they can send me, I'd design and print a Mobius holder to fit the stock body. I'd probably use some existing mounting screws to attach the holder. I probably should ask if you would prefer the camera on top or on the bottom. My guess is on the bottom
