Raptor E720 uses it also.

Yes, the Raptor head is similar in that it uses an integrated swash driver-pitch link.. But it is a different design still.. The raptor lever is longer and uses both sides of the lever. One side of the lever has the radius arm, the other side has the pitch link.

Final head and swash plate assembly..

Bag 2 has the rest of the head parts and the swash plate, too.

Clockwise, 10mm spindle and bolts, grips, swash plate, pitch links and balls, pitch arms.

What's this? A scream mask? Nope, it's the inspiration for the ALeeS logo in the grip! Oh, there's a bag each of the grips...

The bags in the grips contain the thrust bearings, spacers, and grip bolts.

10mm spindle shaft and bolts.

It's recommended to lubricate the spindle with oil. I was fresh out, so I used a VERY thin film of synthetic grease. Synthetic lubricants will not ruin the dampers or flap insert.

Spindle shaft, installed.

Don't forget to clean the spindle threads. It's critical because...

There is usually oil used during manufacturing on the threads. If you only clean one thing, clean the spindle threads. Thread locker, even red, will not hold if there is oil on the threads. It's VERY dangerous to skip this step. You may get lucky, you may not. I go for caution, every time.

Thrust bearing order: Large hole in the race closest to the head, thrust bearing--open side in, small hole in the race to the outside of the grip.

Thrust bearing washer and packed thrust bearing. I used Triflow synthetic grease to pack the thrust bearing. Some folks like to use white lithium grease. The choice is yours.

Installing the pitch arms. Snug up the first screw, then tighten both screws evenly.

Head/spindle assembly with the damper spacer on the spindle. The damper spacer is beveled to one side. The slant side goes toward the damper. This is for preloading the damper.

Again, red thread locker on balls.

Installing the grips. Use the supplied 5mm allen wrenches--still can't get over this nice touch. It's just cool to get a helicopter with the things you would need to purchase, otherwise.

The underside of each grip has a flat spot to hold the nylock nut while tightening the blade installation--another nice touch. (There's that logo, again!)

The swash plate comes assembled. Check the 1.5mm screws for thread lock. Use blue thread locker if there is none on your assembly. This is a good practice for any assembly.

The swash plate with balls... yep... red thread locker on the balls.

The completed head. Links are set to 25.5mm per recommendation. Pretty cool looking head assembly, no?

At this point, it's recommended to install the main shaft. I'm going to hold off on that because later in the build I'll likely have to remove the head from the main shaft for setup. I just find this easier for me.

Next up, we'll start with bearing blocks, motor mount, and motor installation.

I am hopeful we are down to weeks finalizing a few things first

That's nice, how do those painters replicate that pattern every time? Do they use templates?
