This is what's on their website.

Requires an SK-720, and an SK-GPS (version 1 or 2)
Infra-red laser (invisible)
• Weight is 25 grams with cable
• 20x48x40mm
• 4.75 - 6 volts supply
• < 100ma current draw

The SK-720 is definitely the FBL for scale helis, too bad its out of my reach.

Actually, have you priced 28" rotors and motors lately? You'be be shocked how much it would cost to build a large octocopter.

One of the most popular and affordable quad now is the XK detect X380 which you can get for £175 if you shop around. It has GPS autohover ,fly around a point and return to home. There is a dedicated forum to it on RC-groups.There was never such a bargain with helicopters.

Walkera had the G400 but it has been discontinued. Its too bad they never put the GPS unit on the V450D03 which is a fantastic heli. The G400 is a brushed turd. Hobbyking had the G400 for about $150 a few sales ago.

I totally agree with that. The 450d03 is a superb helicopter anyway and if they'd put GPS on it instead of the rubbish G400 it would have been a world beater and best seller. The've put all their eggs in one basket now and I hope they get their fingers burnt with all the drone legislation on the way.

Yeah, and it's a piece of junk with a crappy flight controller, so what's your point?
