Has anyone tried flying one with a 6S 5000mAh pack? Will the canopy go on over it? Does it handle well with that big of a pack? Is there enough fore-aft adjustment to get optimal CG with that big of a pack?

Experience is something you gain only after you need it.
I wouldn't mind social media so much if it didn't involve people.

I believe one of the team guys has used a 5000mah pack. I don't know the brand though, Alan. I'll find out.

Alan,

From Dominator: "Yes it will fit. I've flown the turnigy 6s 5000 heavy duty 60c packs."

Dimensions can be gotten on the site that sells Turnigy.

yep they fit under the canopy as well. Correct CG is easily found even with 800gram packs. Surprisingly it flys well with big packs. Great for sport flying and long flights or high winds.

Are those full sized servos that go on it? Man, I can't get over how good it looks. It just looks so high end.

Machine was tested up to a 5000mah at 3200rmp. Testing purpose only.
The most unique feeling heli behind the sticks. It's surreal how direct it is.

I agree, Lighty. It is a very connected feeling helicopter that begs to be flown--almost literally. Well...

Did you think this was the imaginary flight club? Struggling to think what that almost is doing there.

That's not begging. That's demanding.

Hmmm. I don't know about roaring, but:

Have you ever caught yourself in a Youtube 'trance' while watching vids about machinery? Where you get lost in the moment of mechanical wonder, multiple pieces of beautifully tooled metal working in concert to achieve a purpose? When all that tech and aluminum sounds like it's singing...

yeah, that's the EXO in the air!
